What is the one case that sticks out to you the most out of any other you have had and why?

I see many popping videos with different techniques, but the one thing that is so inconsistent is how people pop blackheads. After watching you for so long I watch others and just think “UGH order a comedone extractor for Sandra Lee!” Lol. But the worst is the q-tips. Why do you like your comedone extractor and what is the difference in techniques?

Hi shaylene! I don't think i have a specific case but I have multiple people that stand out for me. For my youtube channel it would be momma squishy or pops, etc. For the tv show I would say Leonard with the "chip" on his shoulder that thing was VERY dramatic and so was he!

hi natalia! thank you for checking in from Columbia. i have been to cartegena before when i went on a cruise and i remember petting a sloth and seeing crocodiles (or was it alligators i think it's crocs). you live in a beautiful country! if you have blackheads you want to look for two products - retinol and salicylic acid which are great for keeping those under control. Hope I get to visit colombia again soon - please be safe!

i know such things exist but we dermatologists don't use them, - i actually think these can do more harm than good... if you "suck" on your skin too hard (much like what happens with a hickey) you can break blood vessels on the surface of your skin and these can persist. people usually hate when they have noticeable blood vessels on the skin, so I think you'd be replacing one problem with another. THank you gary for your questions!!

hi angie! i only know that dupuytrens is similar but not exactly the same as trigger finger and that i'm afraid of getting trigger finger bc of the repetitive movements I make in my hands at work. that is more of an orthopedic issue tho, so i don't know much about it! I'm sorry!!

Hey Angie! This is super weird, but I have a lot of experience with Dupytrens.

You have a couple of options, the safest and simplest being what they call an enzymatic fasciotomy. Essentially, the enzymatic substance is injected into/around the cord, you're sent home for 24 hours to let the magic happen. The gel begins to soften the cord, so when you come back the next day, the doc will anesthetize your hand then manipulate the finger to snap the cord! It happens super quick and with minimal discomfort. You wear a special brace for a few weeks to help return your finger to normal, and that's that!

Other options are a needle fasciotomy, where they numb the hand and insert a needle in the cord at several points to weaken it before breaking it as above, but worst case scenario it would require a full, cut you open fasciotomy. Those are super rare these days, with most using the enzymatic fasciotomy if possible or the needle :)

hi amyrae I KNOW it's hard to keep your hands off your pimples bc yeah, it's hard for me too! but you should try your best to do this, because it sounds like you are squeezing pimples and prob causing them to only get bigger and also increasing your chances for getting scarring, etc. yes, put a topical spot treatment like something that contains benzoyl peroxide if that's not irritating to you, it will encourage you to keep your hands off the area and help it to heal more quickly. thank you for bringing ME joy amy!! xo

hi amy - impressive that you have all this information - you just need to piece it all together. sounds like you have what we call two foot one hand syndrome, aka id reaction. yes it's like a form of eczema (dishidrotic eczema) that is triggered (most often) by athlete's foot (aka tina pedis). some people are more prone to this and so it can easily come back. if you feel that you have athlete's foot and that this triggers the rash on the hands, try to treat your feet issues first. if it's still there, please see a dermatologist who can give you prescription creams to help improve the issues. That's what I would do esp if it makes you miserable. good luck! thank you for being an awesome fan!

hello again amy! yes i know there are few episodes and it will get more regular we had a few glitches in there in the beginning. at least we were on schedule for things to get more regular, but now with this pandemic not sure what is going on. actually supposed to be taping new episodes next week but that's on hold. a few weeks ago we DID tape our xmas episode so we will have that one ready to go. however, new season is supposed to be in july so hopefully we will get to taping it soon. once we tape the show in my office there are still months involved with getting it edited down etc to create the actual show! so we will see how this all goes. we are all in this together and only time will tell but YES there should be more episodes coming and coming more regularly

some people may be shocked to hear NO. i actually can't bear to watch other PP videos. i call myself a "born again popaholic" because i'm not "innately" a popaholic - but i NOW know how much enjoyment and excitement it brings others and i GET IT. i actually cringe when people send me videos esp a horse or cow abscess or people's popping other people pimples amateur style - meaning no gloves, in the living room or garage with dogs barking, paper towels, beer bottles around. it gives me ANXIETY hehe
